Key Features. Born Defender More than any other hero on Sanctuary, a crusader is built to stand statuesque against endless attacks. Crusaders protect allies (and stoke their own Wrath) by forcing enemies to face them in combat. When surrounded, they grow even more difficult to kill; healing wounds, blocking attacks and reflecting damage back to the foes that break against their iron defenses. Fury of the Heavens The heavens themselves punish the enemies of a crusader. A crusader’s Wrath obliterates the minions of the Burning Hells from afar, striking them with lightning, engulfing them in cleansing flames, or executing them with summoned celestial weapons.
Laws Valor and dedication radiate from crusaders, reaffirming the very reality that they defend. When crusaders proclaim a law, they’re empowered with short bursts of energy, as well as long-term boons – like swift strikes, resistance to the elements or faster healing – that endure as long as the crusade does.
Inescapable It’s natural for evil to flee the might of the crusader – but futile. With summoned steeds, leaping assaults and practiced charges into combat, crusaders are relentless in pursuit of their enemies. They can easily blind or immobilize their adversaries, ensuring that a flight from justice remains impossible. Resource:WrathCrusaders dominate battlefields through sheer purpose. The support of the heavenly Light and the sanctity of their quest lend Wrath to a crusader’s punishing attacks. As crusaders prepare for combat, their Wrath simmers, increasing slowly but steadily. When they cut down their foes, it boils over. A crusader overfull with Wrath is a dangerous adversary indeed: blessed with iron skin; swathed in scourging flames; blasting foes apart with bolts of radiant light, and springing back to life after defeat.Resourceful crusaders find means beyond dispatching enemies to fuel their Wrath.
Their many skills allow them to recover spent resources through blocking attacks, suffering serious injuries, or when they’re encircled by snarling demons. Crusaders are unbending champions of faith and law. These living fortresses use impenetrable plate and towering shields to wade through scores of foes, leaving demonic bodies smoldering in their wake. The thick of battle is unforgiving, but crusaders rush in without hesitation, relying on holy magic and heavy armor to guarantee victory.
Well-trained crusaders are adept at deflecting attacks entirely, often shrugging off massive blows that would fell lesser combatants. If pressed, they can sacrifice speed and mobility for pure staying power.Bone-crunching flails and wicked shields are perfect for melee, but crusaders are hardly limited to extinguishing evil at close range. When one of these divinely empowered warriors joins battle, blazing fire and blinding light follow, smiting entire packs of enemies who dare to resist judgment. “The crusade calls me.so I go.”The leaders of the harmonious Zakarum religion once strove to imprison Mephisto, Lord of Hatred, beneath Travincal temple, preventing him from ever twisting the hearts of humanity again. They failed. It was not the first time Zakarum had lapsed; 200 years prior, the cleric Akkhan noticed corruption at the heart of his faith, and sent his acolytes on a far-ranging quest to cleanse it. Akkhan’s “crusaders” were young recruits, chosen for honor and goodness, trained in weaponry and flesh-scouring magics, though their most important quality was unwavering devotion to duty.Today, the crusaders’ focused quest for purity has broadened. Flimsy “containment” gives evil many opportunities to thrive, and wandering crusaders – often master and apprentice pairs – regularly strike down Sanctuary’s demons. Some fight out of righteousness; others in the hopes that their victories may make corrupt Zakarum whole again.
When a crusader's master dies, their student takes up their weapons and their identityand the crusade continues, even beyond death.
Now, this isn't actually related to April Fools (and we'll be doing a roundup of all the crazy stuff related to that at the end of the day), but it seemed appropriate to get into the humorous mood of the day. Everyone will have probably seen this one at some point, as it's a very old one, but it's still one of the best memes/ that's every been in WarCraft, and we have it reforged to boot! This latest version adds quite a bit to the classic, and itself has been around a while, but I'd dare say it's the best version of the joke so far.Full disclosure: I've been looking for a reason to post this one for months now. Thanks April Fools!
Blizzard Blizzard Apr 01, 2020 at 18:52 by Starym. The Season of Forbidden Archives and its free-for-all Kanai's Cube slot usage is upon us today and it's time to check out what all classes have to offer in our build guide roundup! Most players will probably be focusing on Barbarian, Witch Doctor and Wizard, with the WD getting it's most powerful build to date, and despite those three classes getting the biggest changes and most new toys to play with, there's plenty of interesting and powerful builds for the other classes as well. You can also check out the most recent or check out the Season 20, and rankings.Diablo III D3 Mar 13, 2020 at 06:39 by Starym. Here comes the final build spotlight for the new patch 2.6.8/Season 20 sets, but this time we have an extra one!
The Wizard's Hydra-based set also brought with it changed legendary powers, and this prompted the making of a Legacy of Dreams-based set, which then turned out to actually be better than the new set one! And not only that, the Mammoth Hydra LoD build is actually the second most powerful for Wizards now, only beaten out by.You can also head directly to the guides themselves here if you're in a hurry: and, or you can check our our build highlights for the new and sets instead. But enough preamble, let's see what Deadset has to say about these two builds. Diablo III D3 Mar 12, 2020 at 20:01 by Starym. We have a community overview to check out, as redditor has taken some time to analyze user reaction after the first Diablo 4 2020 quarterly update. We have a hate vs. Excitement scale (typo notwithstanding) based on from the r/diablo community.
Now this obviously doesn't represent everyone, but it's still a nice visual and definitely not that far off from the general consensus, with the most excitement going towards the art style and combat, and most hated being the itemization and talents. This is pretty good news as the majority of the hated features are still very much in development and definitely aren't even close to final, so this is helpful feedback for Blizzard. Diablo IV D4 Mar 06, 2020 at 06:56 by Starym. Update: 2.6.8 is now live on all platforms as the PC version has arrived as well! Enjoy and check out, and remember, the patch marks the beginning of a new Era as well, so the leaderboards are open for the taking.Well it seems Blizzard's early warning system strikes again as patch 2.6.8 has been deployed without a word - but only to consoles, as the PC launch is having some technical issues.

We'd assume the PC patch will also be coming today so get ready to check out the new sets on your non-seasonal characters, as the patch has arrived exactly as expected, despite the lack of communication on it.As a reminder, the patch brings the new class sets and legendary tweaks, as well as some quality of life improvements. Also, just 10 more days to go until season 20 kicks off! Diablo III D3 Mar 03, 2020 at 19:35 by Starym. The covered a lot of ground, mainly focusing on players' interaction with the game itself, from the way we control it to the way we get to see our skills etc, aka the UI. One big question has come out of it, however, as the update talks about both the (long awaited/asked for) addition of controller support for PC and specifics for the local co-op UI layout - but completely fails to mention whether the latter is also referring to the PC or if it's console only.
Diablo IV D4 Mar 02, 2020 at 15:43 by Starym. The second and final week of patch 2.6.8 / Season 20 testing has ended and the PTR has been taken down. As we know the, it seems likely the new patch will arrive a few days later, or on March 3rd, if everything goes the same way 2.6.7 did. Following the same pattern, we should be seeing Season 20 itself 10 days later on March 13th.
Hopefully we'll get the final patch and season notes a bit sooner this time around, but meanwhile you can check out the. Diablo III D3 Feb 21, 2020 at 06:50 by Starym. We're getting another Era reset with the new patch, as Nevalistis pointed out, which means the non-seasonal leaderboards are getting a wipe as well! This is very close to the last era reset which happened with patch 2.6.7 aka Season 19, and is a much shorter duration than the usual year-ish period they tend to last.
Apparently the reasoning behind it is the big balance changes coming. We still don't have exact dates for the patch or the Season, with a high probability of a week in-between them as well, but we do know. Diablo III D3 Feb 20, 2020 at 07:48 by Starym. CHANGELOG. 14 Mar.
